Justicidin B is a potent anticancer lignan and proapoptotic agent. Justicidin B is also a bone resorption inhibitor, and has strong antiviral, fungicidal, antiprotozoal effects. Justicidin B significantly inhibits platelet aggregation^[1][2][3].

Justicidin B 抑制致病真菌烟曲霉 (MIC ≥ 1 μg/mL)、黄曲霉 (MIC ≥ 12 μg/mL) 和白色念珠菌 (MIC ≥ 4 μg/mL) 的生长，但对新型隐球菌和头状芽孢杆菌无效^[1]。

Justicidin B 在 MDA-MB-231 和 MCF-7 乳腺癌衍生细胞系中表现出细胞毒活性和诱导细胞凋亡。 两种细胞系的 24 小时处理增加了凋亡 DNA 片段化的水平。MDA-MB-231 细胞与 Justicidin B 的接触导致 NFkB 表达的浓度依赖性降低； 而 MCF-7 的处理与该转录因子表达的强烈增加一致^[2]。
