生物活性	(S)-Norzopiclone ((S)-N-Desmethyl zopiclone; SEP-174559) is a metabolite of Zopiclone with anxiolytic and anticonvulsant effects. (S)-Norzopiclone has benzodiazepine-like actions at γ2-bearing subtypes of theGABA_Areceptorand inhibitsnAChandNMDA receptors^[1].
体外研究 (In Vitro)	Micromolar concentrations of (S)-Norzopiclone (SEP-174559) potentiates GABA_Areceptor currents evoked by subsaturating concentrations of GABA^[1]. (S)-Norzopiclone9 is not selective between alpha1-, alpha2-, or alpha3-bearing GABA_Areceptors. Within the nicotinic receptor superfamily, (S)-Norzopiclone does not affect serotonin type-3 receptor function but is found to inhibit nACh receptors^[1]. In the glutamate receptor superfamily, (S)-Norzopiclone inhibits N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor currents but does not affect non-NMDA receptors^[1].
