Gymnestrogenin 是来自Gymnema sylvestreR.Br. 叶片的五羟基三萜。Gymnestrogenin 是一种有效的LXR拮抗剂，对 LXRα 和 LXRβ 反式激活的IC₅₀分别为 2.5 和 1.4 μM。Gymnestrogenin 在其自身的启动子上也会降低 LXR 的转录活性，从而降低 mRNA 的表达。

生物活性	Gymnestrogenin is a pentahydroxytriterpene from the leaves ofGymnema sylvestreR.Br^[1]. Gymnestrogenin is aLXRantagonist withIC₅₀s of 2.5 and 1.4 μM for LXRα and LXRβ transactivation, respectively. Gymnestrogenin reduces the transcriptional activity ofLXReven on its own promoter, thus reducing the mRNA expression^[2].
