A-893 (A893) is a novel, potent and selective inhibitor of the Lysine Methyltransferase SMYD2 with anticancer activity. It inhibit SMYD2 with an IC50 of 2.8 nM. A-893 has enhanced potency, and effective suppression of p53K370 methylation as observed in a lung carcinoma (A549) cell line.
