Background:

(±)14(15)-DiHETE is an oxylipin and a metabolite of the ω-3 fatty acid eicosapentaenoic acid .^1,2It is formedviacytochrome P450-mediated epoxidation of EPA to (±)14(15)-EpETE , followed by conversion of the epoxide to a diol by soluble epoxide hydrolase.
(±)14(15)-DiHETE MaxSpec^?standard is a quantitative grade standard of (±)14(15)-DiHETE that has been prepared specifically for mass spectrometry and related applications where quantitative reproducibility is required. The solution has been prepared gravimetrically and is supplied in a deactivated glass ampule sealed under argon.
