Background:

9(S)-HETE-d₈is intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of 9(S)-HETE by GC- or LC-MS. 9(S)-HETE is the (S) isomer of the monohydroxy fatty acid (±)9-HETE .¹It is formed from arachidonic acid by rat liver microsomal cytochrome P450 (CYP).²9(S)-HETE is an agonist of retinoid X receptor γ (RXRγ), inducing RXRγ-dependent transcription when used at a concentration of 300 nM in BHK cell extracts expressing chick RXRγ.³
