Lexipafant, formerly known as Vernalis and Zacutex, is a platelet-activating factor (PAF) receptor antagonist potentially for the treatment of acute pancreatitis, dementia, motor function disorders in HIV patients, and as well as for the prevention of certain serious renal and neurological complications experienced by patients undergoing cardiac surgery, including stroke.
