背景信息：
TFIIF 是普通转录因子组成员，可以促进 RNA 聚合酶 II (Pol II) 结合到启动子序列，参与形成前起始复合体 (PIC) (1)。TFIIF 由 TFIIF-α (RAP74) 和 TFIIF-β (RAP30) 亚基组成。它参与稳定 Pol II与 PIC 的连接，并帮助转录起始过程中选择转录起始位点 (1,2)。研究显示，除了参与转录起始之外， TFIIF 还可以刺激 Pol II 的转录延伸活性以及转录终止过程中 Pol II 的去磷酸化和再循环 (3-5)。
