背景信息：

E2A 是转录因子 E-蛋白家族的成员，该家族是碱性螺旋-环-螺旋 (bHLH) 蛋白的子类。bHLH 蛋白可特异性的与 E-box 共有序列结合 (1,2)。选择性剪切可产生两个 E2A 同工型（E47 和 E12），这两个同工型积极参与 B 细胞的定向分化、B 细胞成熟、IgK V-J 重新排列、外周 B 细胞发育和肿瘤抑制 (3)。E2A 在 G1 期间在cis中起作用，从而促进免疫球蛋白基因多样化 (4)。研究表明，与 E2A 基因相关的染色体易位可导致多种融合蛋白呈现表达，并且与许多儿科急性淋巴母细胞白血病有关 (5)。
