背景信息：
切割线性和支链多泛素聚合物，明显倾向于支链聚合物。参与未编码的“Lys-48”连接的多聚泛素分解。以较低亲和力结合线性和'Lys-63'连接的多泛素。USP5基因敲除导致p53/TP53的积累和p53/TP53转录活性的增加，因为积累的未修饰的多泛素能够与泛素化的p53/TP53竞争，但不能与MDM2竞争蛋白酶体识别。
