Transforming growth factor β-stimulated clone 22 domain family, member 2 (TSC22D2), a member of the TSC22D family, has been implicated as a tumor-associated gene. The TSC22D2 (also known as TILZ4a, TILZ4b, TILZ4c) gene is located on human chromosome 3q25.1. The TSC22D2 gene is conserved in chimpanzee, Rhesus monkey, dog, cow, mouse, rat, chicken, and frog. TSC22D2 is associated with some diseases, including Li-Fraumeni Syndrome 2. An important paralog of this gene is TSC22D1. TSC22D2 interacts with PKM2 and inhibits cell growth in colorectal cancer.
