Dehydrosertindole is a metabolite of Sertindole, an antipsychotic agent that is used to treat patients with schizophrenia. Dehydrosertindole inhibits limbic dopamine function and has high affinity for dopamine D2 receptors, serotonin 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) 2 receptors and α1-adrenergic receptors.
