Genistin is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) found in soy. It is the less active glycoside analogue of genistein. It acts as a phytoestrogen, induces cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in ovarian cancer cells, improves bone density and strength, and decreases myosin light chain kinase levels.
