CC   -!- FUNCTION: Involved in mRNA export coupled transcription activation by
CC       association with both the AMEX and the SAGA complexes. The SAGA complex
CC       is a multiprotein complex that activates transcription by remodeling
CC       chromatin and mediating histone acetylation and deubiquitination.
CC       Within the SAGA complex, participates in a subcomplex that specifically
CC       deubiquitinates histone H2B. The SAGA complex is recruited to specific
CC       gene promoters by activators, where it is required for transcription.
CC       Required for nuclear receptor-mediated transactivation. Involved in
CC       transcription elongation by recruiting the THO complex onto nascent
CC       mRNA. The AMEX complex functions in docking export-competent
CC       ribonucleoprotein particles (mRNPs) to the nuclear entrance of the
CC       nuclear pore complex (nuclear basket). AMEX participates in mRNA export
CC       and accurate chromatin positioning in the nucleus by tethering genes to
