CC -!- ACTIVITY REGULATION: Repressor activity requires the presence of the
CC Integration Host Factor (IHF), which binds to sequences located between
CC FarR binding sites A and C. IHF binding to the promoter region
CC stabilizes the binding of FarR to its binding sites A and C and as a
CC consequence, enhances repression of the farAB operon.
