CC   -!- FUNCTION: Flagellin is the subunit protein which polymerizes to form
CC       the filaments of bacterial flagella. FlaB/D is not essential for polar
CC       flagellar synthesis and swimming motility. Homomer of FlaB/D is not
CC       able to form a functional filament.

CC       FlaB/D, FlaC, FlaE and FlaF.

CC   -!- MISCELLANEOUS: V.parahaemolyticus possesses two flagellar systems: a
CC       single polar flagellum propels the bacterium in liquid (swimming),
CC       while multiple lateral (peritrichous) flagella move the bacterium over
CC       surfaces (swarming). The polar flagellum is synthesized constitutively
CC       but lateral flagella are produced only under conditions in which the
CC       polar flagellum is not functional.
