CC   -!- FUNCTION: Thanks to its abundant amphiphilic alpha-helices, it may
CC       integrate into membrane phospholipids, leading to lysis of the
CC       membrane. Its high hemolytic activity is inhibited by phospholipids,
CC       but not by cholesterol. Has antibacterial activity with a broad
CC       spectrum against various species of bacteria including both Gram-
CC       positive and Gram-negative groups. Has also high ichthyotoxic activity.
