CC -!- FUNCTION: Is cytotoxic against human non-small cell lung adenocarcinoma
CC A-549 cells (LC(50)=56 ug/ml), breast adenocarcinoma MDA-MBsy-231 cells
CC (LC(50)=62 ug/ml) and colorectal adenocarcinoma HT-29 cells (LC(50)=110
CC ug/ml). Shows low hemolytic activity against human erythrocytes
CC (LC(50)>600 ug/ml). Is also cytotoxic against human umbilical vein
CC endothelial HUVEC cells (57 ug/ml) indicating no differential activity
CC against cell lines derived from neoplastic tissues.
CC {ECO:0000269|PubMed:25035794}.
CC -!- SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Secreted {ECO:0000269|PubMed:7397227}.
CC -!- TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Expressed by the venom gland. {ECO:0000305}.
CC -!- MASS SPECTROMETRY: Mass=6653.0; Method=Unknown;
CC Evidence={ECO:0000269|PubMed:25035794};
CC -!- TOXIC DOSE: LD(50) is 40 +/- 3 mg/kg by intravenous injection into
CC mice. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:7397227}.
CC -!- MISCELLANEOUS: Does not inhibit growth of reference strains of E.coli
CC or S.aureus (MIC values >200 ug/ml). {ECO:0000269|PubMed:25035794}.
CC -!- SIMILARITY: Belongs to the snake three-finger toxin family. Short-chain
CC subfamily. Orphan group X sub-subfamily. {ECO:0000305}.
