CC -!- FUNCTION: Transcription factor that regulates the development of the g2
CC pharyngeal gland cells and pharyngeal gland function and thereby is

CC a number of genes in the pharyngeal gland, possibly by binding to the E
CC box motif (5'-CANNTG-3') in the promoter region of these genes
CC (PubMed:18927627). Positively regulates the expression of genes
CC encoding mucin-like proteins, which lubricate the pharyngeal tract to
CC ensure efficient passage of the bacterial food source
CC (PubMed:18927627). Exhibits pharyngeal gland-specific positive
