CC -!- FUNCTION: Transcription activation of the irgA gene. In the presence of
CC sufficient iron, transcription of both irgA and irgB is negatively
CC regulated by a fur-like protein. In low iron conditions, negative
CC regulation of transcription is removed, and production of irgB leads to
CC positive transcriptional activation of irgA (By similarity).
