CC -!- CAUTION: Originally proposed to be involved in the regulation of the
CC acid citric cycle in response to fatty acids. This was based on in
CC vitro experiments showing that MngR was released from its DNA-binding
CC sites by high concentration sof fatty acids and acyl-CoAs. These
CC results could be explained by the fact that these high-concentrations
CC of fatty acids could have denatured the MngR protein. {ECO:0000305}.
