CC -!- FUNCTION: Transcriptional repressor of flagellar motility genes, such
CC as flaA, during extracellular growth at 37 degrees Celsius and during
CC intracellular infection. Binds directly to the gene promoter region and
CC probably prevents RNA polymerase binding. At low temperatures, MogR
CC repression activity is modulated by the DegU response regulator in an
CC unknown mechanism. Required for full virulence.
