CC   -!- FUNCTION: Transports viral genome to neighboring plant cells directly
CC       through plasmosdesmata, without any budding. The movement protein
CC       allows efficient cell to cell propagation, by bypassing the host cell
CC       wall barrier (Potential). Also likely to act as a suppressor of RNA-
CC       mediated gene silencing, also known as post-transcriptional gene
CC       silencing (PTGS), a mechanism of plant viral defense that performs
CC       sequence-specific inhibition of viral mRNAs expression. Silencing
CC       activity has been seen in Nicotiana benthamiana and Nicotiana tabacum,
