CC -!- FUNCTION: Acts as essential component of the kinetochore MIND complex,
CC which is required for the spindle checkpoint and kinetochore integrity.
CC MIND plays a role in establishing a bipolar spindle-kinetochore
CC interaction by joining kinetochore subunits contacting DNA to those
CC contacting microtubules. NNF1 is required for a number of nuclear
CC functions. Cells depleted of NNF11 or containing a temperature-
CC sensitive NNF1 mutation have elongated microtubules and become bi- and
CC multinucleate. They also have a fragmented nucleolus and accumulate
CC poly(A)+ RNA inside the nucleus. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:12455957,
CC ECO:0000269|PubMed:14633972}.
CC -!- SUBUNIT: Component of the MIND kinetochore complex, which is composed
CC of at least MTW1, NNF1, NSL1 and DSN1. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:12455957,
CC ECO:0000269|PubMed:14602074, ECO:0000269|PubMed:14633972,
