CC -!- FUNCTION: Pointed-end-associated component of the dynactin complex
CC which assists cytoplasmic dynein by increasing its processivity and by
CC regulation of its cargo binding (By similarity). The dynactin complex
CC is required for the spindle translocation late in anaphase and is
CC involved in a cell wall synthesis checkpoint. May regulate the
CC association of the dynactin complex with the plasma membrane.
CC {ECO:0000250, ECO:0000269|PubMed:16291862}.
CC -!- SUBUNIT: Self-associates. Component of the dynactin complex composed of
CC at least ARP1, JNM1, NIP100 and ARP10. Dynactin comprises a short rod
CC of the ARP1 filament attached to ARP10 at its pointed-end and probably
CC associated with the capping protein at its barbed-end. The rod is
CC implicated in dynein cargo binding. A sidearm formed by NIP100 projects
CC from the ARP1 filament and is implicated in motor binding (By
CC similarity). Interacts with ARP1 and JNM1. {ECO:0000250,
CC ECO:0000269|PubMed:16291862}.
CC -!- INTERACTION:
CC Q04549; P38696: ARP1; NbExp=5; IntAct=EBI-2977, EBI-2920;
CC Q04549; P36224: JNM1; NbExp=3; IntAct=EBI-2977, EBI-9415;
CC -!- SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton {ECO:0000305}.
CC -!- SIMILARITY: Belongs to the actin family. ARP10 subfamily.
CC {ECO:0000305}.
