CC -!- FUNCTION: Has toxic effects on zebrafish larvae (PubMed:31134275). It
CC causes contractile paralysis and twitching of the tail within 30
CC minutes, followed by death within 40 minutes (PubMed:31134275). Does
CC not show any toxicity when injected into arthropods (cherry shrimps or
CC grass shrimps) (PubMed:31134275). {ECO:0000269|PubMed:31134275}.
CC -!- TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Expressed in ectodermal gland cells
CC (PubMed:31134275). In adult female tissues, highly transcribed in
CC mesenteries (gametes-producing tissue) and slightly transcribed in
CC tentacles, pharynx and physa (PubMed:31134275).
CC {ECO:0000269|PubMed:31134275}.
CC -!- DEVELOPMENTAL STAGE: Is detected in unfertilized eggs, late planulae,
CC and primary polyps, but not in adults (both males and females) (at
CC protein level). At mRNA level, is found at multiple developmental
CC stages including unfertilized eggs, blastulae, gastrulae, early
CC planulae, planulae, metamorphosing planulae, primary polyps, juvenile
CC polyps (low levels at 4 months old, but no mRNA at 2 months), adult
CC males, and adult females, with the highest levels from gastrulae to
CC primary polyps, and adult females. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:31134275}.
CC -!- MISCELLANEOUS: Does not show activity on all ion channel tested at 10
CC uM (hNav1.1/SCN1A, rNav1.2/SCN2A, rNav1.3/SCN3A, rNav1.4/SCN4A,
CC hNav1.5/SCN5A, mNav1.6/SCN8A, rNav1.8/SCN10A, BgNav1, Shaker IR,
