CC -!- FUNCTION: Probable transcription factor involved in the regulation of
CC flowering time under long day (LD) conditions. Functions as repressor
CC of flowering. Controls flowering time by negatively regulating the
CC expression of HD3A (PubMed:23713079, PubMed:25378698). Acts downstream
CC of the phytochrome B to repress the expression of EHD1, an activator of
CC the flowering promoter genes HD3A and RFT1 (PubMed:25378698). Controls
CC photoperiodic flowering response. Seems to be one of the component of
CC the circadian clock. Expression of several members of the ARR-like
CC family is controlled by circadian rhythm. The particular coordinated
CC sequential expression of PRR73, PRR37, PRR95, PRR59 and PPR1 result to
CC circadian waves that may be at the basis of the endogenous circadian
CC clock (By similarity). {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:Q9LKL2,
CC ECO:0000269|PubMed:23713079, ECO:0000269|PubMed:25378698}.
CC -!- SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Nucleus {ECO:0000269|PubMed:25378698}.
CC -!- INDUCTION: Expressed with a circadian rhythm showing a broad peak in
CC the middle day under long day (LD) conditiions.
CC {ECO:0000269|PubMed:14634161, ECO:0000269|PubMed:15725670,
CC ECO:0000269|PubMed:25378698}.
CC -!- POLYMORPHISM: The cultivar Kitaake contains a non-synonymous
CC substitution of the conserved residue Leu-710 to Pro-710, which confers
CC a reduced photoperiod sensitivity (PS) response, early flowering, and
CC allows the cultivar Kitaake to grow in high latitudes with long
CC photoperiod conditions. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:25378698}.
CC -!- SIMILARITY: Belongs to the ARR-like family. {ECO:0000305}.
CC -!- CAUTION: Lacks the phospho-accepting Asp (here Glu-114), present in the
CC receiver domain, which is one of the conserved features of two-
CC component response regulators (ARRs) family. {ECO:0000305}.
