CC similarity). RecA thread formation during DNA double-strand break
CC repair requires RecJ or AadAB. {ECO:0000250}.
CC -!- DISRUPTION PHENOTYPE: Cells lacking this gene show only slightly
CC increased sensitivity to DNA-damaging agents. However, cells lacking
CC RecJ and with a mutated AadAB enzyme were extremely sensitive to these
CC agents, as sensitive as recA deletion strains. The doubly mutated
CC strain shows 10-fold impaired growth in the absence of these agents.
