CC -!- FUNCTION: Effector that triggers cell death in a variety of plant
CC species (including tobacco, tomato and soybean), regardless of the Rps
CC genes present (PubMed:22816601). Avh241 interacts with the plant immune
CC system via at least two different mechanisms, one recognized by plants
CC dependent on subcellular localization and one promoting infection
CC independent on membrane localization (PubMed:22816601). The cell death
CC triggered by Avh241 in N.benthamiana requires the two host mitogen-
CC activated protein kinases, MEK2 and WIPK (PubMed:22816601).
