CC addition, the sox17 proteins have distinct but overlapping roles in
CC later gut development. Acts downstream of vegt-signaling in endoderm

CC indirectly. Also represses wnt-responsive genes to inhibit wnt/beta-
CC catenin-mediated signaling (By similarity).
