CC -!- FUNCTION: Monooxygenase that converts the endogenous (and likely the
CC host) jasmonate (JA) to its hydroxylated derivative 12-hydroxyjasmonate
CC (12OH-JA), also known as tuberonic acid, a compound that attenuates or
CC disables jasmonate-based host innate immunity and which is essential
CC for proper initiation and elaboration of the blast disease in rice
CC (PubMed:26258762). ABM, together with a polyketide synthase MGG_04775
CC and the esterase MGG_04774, share the secondary metabolism gene cluster
CC with ABC transporter ABC3, and therefore may also be involved in the
CC synthesis of other important metabolites such as the ABC3 transporter
CC efflux substrate (ATS) and/or additional polyketides (Probable).
CC {ECO:0000269|PubMed:26258762, ECO:0000305|PubMed:26258762}.
CC -!- CATALYTIC ACTIVITY:
CC Reaction=H(+) + jasmonate + NADPH + O2 = (1R,2R)-12-hydroxyjasmonate +
CC H2O + NADP(+); Xref=Rhea:RHEA:49984, ChEBI:CHEBI:15377,

CC EC=1.14.13.228; Evidence={ECO:0000269|PubMed:26258762};
CC PhysiologicalDirection=left-to-right; Xref=Rhea:RHEA:49985;
CC Evidence={ECO:0000269|PubMed:26258762};
CC -!- SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Endoplasmic reticulum
CC {ECO:0000269|PubMed:26258762}. Secreted {ECO:0000269|PubMed:26258762}.
CC Note=Associates with the cortical endoplasmic reticulum (ER) network
CC during pre-invasive pathogenic development on the host surface
CC pathogenesis and remains associated with the cortical ER in the
CC invasive hyphae untill the later stages of host colonization
CC (PubMed:26258762). Associates also, albeit weakly, with the biotrophic
CC interfacial complex (BIC), a specialized secretory organelle present on
CC the invasive hyphae in M.oryzae (PubMed:26258762). Secreted
CC specifically during invasive growth (PubMed:26258762).
CC {ECO:0000269|PubMed:26258762}.
CC -!- DISRUPTION PHENOTYPE: Fails to develop blast disease on the rice host
CC but does not affect vegetative growth, asexual development and
CC appressorium formation (PubMed:26258762). Significantly reduces the
CC host penetration ability (PubMed:26258762). Leads to the accumulation
CC of a methylated form of jasmonate (MeJA) resulting in a strong
CC induction of the host defense response in an otherwise susceptible rice
CC plant (PubMed:26258762). Does not affect the ability to cause blast
CC disease in barley (PubMed:26258762). {ECO:0000269|PubMed:26258762}.
