CC -!- FUNCTION: The VP2 protein is one of the two proteins (with VP5) which
CC constitute the virus particle outer capsid. It is the major target of
CC the host immunogenic response. Responsible for viral attachment to
CC target host cell, probably by binding to sialic acid. This attachment
CC induces virion internalization predominantly through clathrin-dependent
