CC -!- FUNCTION: In contrast to other conorfamides, this peptide does not show
CC activity on human and mouse sensory neuron-specific G-protein coupled
CC receptors MRGPRX1 (PubMed:30243794). In vivo, it causes hyperactivity
CC when injected intracranially into mice, and when injected into the foot
CC of the fresh water snail P.paludosa (PubMed:18201803). It also causes
CC paralysis when injected into the foot of the limpet P.opea
CC (PubMed:18201803). Has no effect when injected below the rear part of
CC the dorsal fin of the fish L.reticulatus (PubMed:18201803).
CC {ECO:0000269|PubMed:18201803}.
CC -!- SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Secreted {ECO:0000269|PubMed:18201803}.
CC -!- TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Expressed by the venom duct.
CC {ECO:0000305|PubMed:18201803}.
CC -!- MASS SPECTROMETRY: Mass=1468.70; Method=Electrospray;
CC Evidence={ECO:0000269|PubMed:18201803};
CC -!- MISCELLANEOUS: The mature peptide does not contain cysteine residue.
CC {ECO:0000305}.
CC -!- SIMILARITY: Belongs to the FARP (FMRFamide related peptide) family.
CC {ECO:0000305}.
